Search for Steelhead.....

Talked to GTN007 yesterday right before I left for work.

He got up there around 11am (got a late start) and was all ready having great success.  Lots of fish to be seen and he has spotted quite a few HUGE Steelies.

Me thinks he will be going for them.  More to come.

Keep us in the loop...and get some pics!  I am jealous!

He's back.  No run on Sunday, conditions were not the best.  Hopefully he will post something.....  LOL!!!

Well im back, sorry about the late post!!  I hit them OK... I really wanted this to be all about Brownies but i ended up just playing with some steel and actually found a couple fresh kings too!  Too bad i was fishing 6lb tst the entire time i was there.. It was fun but i didn't land as many as i would of liked too. But i did have South Sandy to myself for 3 days!!!  I will get the pics up soon!  

Oh yeah,  I almost had to throw a TWEEDER in the river!!

Here are the pictures i finally downloaded. The crome bullets were from the Nov trip, the colored up ones are from this past tuesday.  Eggsacs and PW's seemed to be the ticket on both trips!

I just typed out the entire story which took me at least 15 mins and i went to post it and its gone... Ill retype it later cause im about to throw my computer in the river....  I think im having the same problem as JM.   
Damnit!  this story was good too!  

Ok round 2,
Well i start off parking up by the firehouse on SS and there was only 1 other car in the lot. I start fishing and see this guy about 200 yds down from me, i was planning on starting at the bridge and working downstream. I making my way down and i see this guy in a hole that ive seen 10+people fishing it throughout salmon season. (Plenty of room) So i cross the stream to make sure i dont get in this guys way.  I say to him "Hows it goin" No anwser just looks at me with a smug face. So i try again, "Beautiful day we have here"  Again just a nasty look and no reply (Im thinking he cant speak english, could of been one of the russians) At this point im about 20yds up from him and he fishing the tailout, and im at the top of the hole and i see some fish. So i take my hook of the hookkeeper to put a sac on it and all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye this guy starts casting his flyrod and sends his fly accross the stream and wrapped it around the end of my pole. Im like OK ill get that for ya, i untangle it and drop it in the water so he would get a good drift. At this time another guy come walking twards this guy and starts fishing next to him.. I get the sac on and he did it again, this time im watching him go out of his way to do it. I look at him and say WTF REALLY!?!?  Again no anwser just a smug look. At this point im getting pissed and instead of ruining my day i just walk away...   Thinking to myself after the fact that once he wrapped his fly around my pole i shouldve just ripped the rod right outta his hands and sent his VERY nice fly setup right downsteam.  But anways im walking off and the 2nd guy get a fish on and the first asshole breaks out his video camera and starts saying, "Great fish", "Take your time, take your time"  "Thats a beauty"  Im like WTF so he can speak english, he's just an assbag! But i do remember this guys face and i REALLY hope to bump into next year during salmon season so i can show him what combat fishing is all about!!  Maybe send some lead flying his way  (And i dont mean by guns) lol    

I think a few chuck and duck casts at him will be worthy...  you chuck and he should duck!!!   Perhaps a few good pyramid weights and a fat treble just to show him who's boss!  Maybe you can snag his hat?

Maybe break out some crickets too!  

If I was there with you, there would of definitely been a confrontation.  His entire ass would of ended up in the river.  Fucker!!!

LOL  Your right!!  Bigmouth!       I wish you were there now that im thinking about it, i would have had alot fun with that!
