What could be better than Fish TV?

Watching live “fish porn” on a Nature Vision, Inc./Fish TV of course. I know this might offend some purist sensibilities, bordering on the edge of “Bubba” tackle, but in a land where winter forces you to some extreme measures, like boring a hole in the ice to get your fishing jollies; sometimes you have to temporarily abandon normal standards and just run with the bulls.  I haven't got that extreme yet.  Another week of sub-zero temp's and yeah, GTN, 007, and Jet... can I join you?
Last weekend our neighbor won an Nature Vision Inc. Fish TV at the Lake Wallenpaupack Fishing Derby drawing and he took it fishing for a test run. Iguess it sure beat's the hell out of staring at your ice hole all day. Basically you can lower you camera down a nearby hole, align it so you can see your jig and the immediate surroundings and watch all the action at ground zero. After seeing his email pics of the TV screen I was surprised at what those fish were really doing with his tackle down there, unbeknown to him.

Too put it in simple terms, think of the fish as congressman and suddenly they are caught on camera doing what they are really doing and not what they should actually be doing. Yes, it’s that much of an eye opener. He brought over his cell phone with some live action video he captured.  (He is really trying to sell me to go fishing out on the Suskie)  I was actually rooting for the Perch on the screen yesterday and I kept hoping a giant Pike would come in and snarf a little congressman but he never showed. For true fish “behaviorists” this could be an addictive little toy.
I mean, let’s face it, ice fishing is as about as far away from fly fishing as I am from Mars and the entertainment gap is usually even farther but having one of these helps shorten the distance. And yes, I’m sure it works fine in hot tubs, Jacuzzis, and swimming pools.
