Well a Sunday afternoon with a new Showdown, yeilded one kid with 7 small panfish and a nice perch, the other kid with 3 small fish and Grandpa with 10 small panfish. Kids had the camera but never pulled it out to take any pictures. Showdown worked great after the know-it-all kid finally read the directions to see how to adjust it. Around 8" of ice on the lake. Time to break out the tip-ups for me.
I camped there 1 weekend and took the boat out on the lake,didnt catch much though.I was in the visitors shop and there was a huge Musky on the wall they said came from the pond.
How sensitive was the showdown,could you see your bait?I see there pretty reasonably priced.

There are some big muskies in there, haven't caught any thru the ice yet. Kids say that the showdown shows the bait/jigs really good and just a matter of watching the fish come to it. He said that sometimes the spring on the pole never moved just saw the fish take the jig on the Showdown.
Cool!! You know you have the bite before you can even see/feel it! Crazy stuff!! I might need to get one of these!!

DR means Delaware River. NY and PA has a reciprocity agreement that anglers that have a NY or PA license can fish on both sides of the river (state line) from the area 250 yards below the Rte 17 bridge over the West Branch of the DR to the NY/PA/NJ line on the Delaware River near Milford, PA. The Upper DR hold wild trout, the middle section from Calicoon NY to Lackawaxen PA hold smallies and from Lackawaxen to Milford has a mix of bass, striped bass that run up the river. American Shad, and other warmwater species that rivers hold as well as the other saltwater fishey's that come into freshwater to spawn.

Well I will try to load up the pictures from Fri's fishing. The kid wears a size 12 boot so that will give you some idea of the size of the 1st Perch, the second is about 10-11" long.
